Ba Ba P.C. Sheep

by `Ice-11

Baa baa multi-cultural and coloured sheep, to not define you by race or colour, have you any wool or synthetic equivalent to those who may suffer an allergic reaction upon contact? (please fill out appropriate risk assessment forms for receipt of wool and have the form signed by the head teacher, duplicated and hand to the appropriate members of staff)

Yes sir, madame or undefined, yes sir, madame or undefined, three bags full or the local trading currency or three equivalent school meals that have the relevant 5 fruits or vegetables!

One for the guardian, one for the teacher,
And one for the after school club who look after my children.

N.B. All adult figures mentioned within this document have been fully C.R.B checked and are to wear full identification at all times whilst on school premises.

Political Correctness gone mad.

This is a rewrite of the poem "Baa Baa Black Sheep" which goes as follows:

Baa, baa, black sheep,
Have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir,
Three bags full.
One for the master,
One for the dame,
And one for the little boy
Who lives down the lane.

:giggle: this made me laugh. Maybe children stories weren't meant to be politically correct? Reading it to a child would be quite a mouthful with a responsive look like :|... :hmm:.... what?

I think, this proves a point as well, you can't always be 'socially acceptable' and politically correct in all your tales. We teach kids black sheep have better wool, but we could have rainbow sheep with synthetic plastic strung into clumps and heated to soften and just leave minor scratches.

I must say, the punctuations through out made this a lot easier to read, even the spots where they weren't needed. Very nice job.

Overall though, as critique wise, this came out, though a mouthful, quite nicely. It made me laugh, and realize, wow, that was my favorite story, and it could've been taken a bit harsh  The only thing I noticed was equivalent was spelled wrong, which I would've missed, except, I always spell it wrong myself the first 10 times.

Wonderful job :clap::worship:

What I enjoy the most about this is how you've taken the familiar children's piece and twisted it to fit the politically correct world. It's quite the mouthful, trying to read it with the same pattern as the pretext, however I think that serves well to prove the point. In many cases people tend to go far overboard with the political correctness to the point where what they're even trying to say is lost.

I'm sure there are many more politically correct statements that could be put in there, but I think in keeping with the same sort of simplistic shortness that the familiar Ba-ba Black Sheep has that this works out nicely.

Great job.

What I think is funny is that if black people are left out of things, a huge ruckus is caused. But then when you have a black sheep in a nursery rhyme it's not "politically incorrect" because there aren't any whites, but because you use the word 'black'. So what?

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

There's only be one 'chosen one', right? So Annakin Skywalker and Harry Potter must be the same person.

:iconice-11:
Everything always has to be multi-racial otherwise someone will get offended... It's really stupid. The reason that black sheep is used is to define the colour of the sheep used because black wool is a wanted thing and has absolutely nothing to do with ethnicity.

Imagine having to say every race and such when reading this...

Ba ba Abzinz-Abenaki-Abipones-Abkhazs-Aborigines-Acadian-Accohannock... (and so on) sheep, have you any wool?

It's a list far longer than I'm willing to type.
