*helping-the-unknown is a project designed specifically to give new and underappreciated talented artists the recognition they deserve.
Although it's impossible to define what makes one particular piece of art more worthy than another, *helping-the-unknown will try to examine each suggested deviation objectively, and make well-informed decisions for features, regarding the production of, skill involved in and meaning and thoughtfulness of the deviation. *helping-the-unknown posts biweekly news articles (Wednesday and Sunday) featuring four pieces of work from five deviants. The pieces of work include: - Photography. - Photomanipulations. - Traditional Media. - Digital Media. - Literature. If you want to see a deviant featured in one *helping-the-unknown's news articles, please send the club a note by clicking here. If your suggestion is chosen, you will be credited. (Please say if you wish to remain anonymous.) *helping-the-unknown's criteria for deciding whether a deviant is eligible to be featured by the club are as follows: - The deviant can't have received an average of more than 10,000 page views per year. - In addition, the deviant can't have high fave counts on their deviations. Any deviation with over twenty faves will not be featured by the club. - Preferably, the deviant won't have received a DD. However, if they meet the above two points, *helping-the-unknown will take this into account. *helping-the-unknown advises you not to suggest your own work to be featured. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
